Miami Art Week 2025: ART EXPERIENCES AND Mural container PAINTING at Hive Wynwood for Verizon at The Wynwood Marketplace
During Miami Art Week 2025, Project Roadmap returned to HIVE Wynwood in collaboration with Verizon to produce a four-day live art activation at The Wynwood Marketplace.
Following the success of the previous year, the 2025 activation expanded into a full experience centered around live art, community participation, and high energy programming. Over the course of four days, Project Roadmap transformed Verizon’s footprint into a creative hub where guests could engage directly with the process of making art.
At the center of the activation, Roc Sol painted a large-scale shipping container mural live across the first two days of the event. The piece developed in real time, drawing in crowds and becoming a focal point for the entire space as visitors watched the mural come to life layer by layer.
The experience continued with a community paint-by-numbers canvas mural led by the Project Roadmap team, where attendees were invited to step in and contribute to a large collaborative artwork. Roc Sol, Dennis Perez and Miss Lushy worked closely with the public throughout the activation, guiding participants and helping bring the piece together while creating an approachable entry point into the world of mural art.
ive painting sessions took place throughout the event, alongside a DJ set by DJ Frogie that kept the energy consistent each day. A 360 video booth experience added a digital layer to the activation, allowing guests to capture themselves inside the environment, while Verizon hosted branded giveaways that encouraged continued engagement with the space. The activation also featured a high-energy breakdance performance by Future Force Crew, bringing movement and rhythm into the environment and elevating the overall experience. The fusion of public art, immersive interaction, and cultural expression made this installation a standout moment of the week.
The activation created a constant flow of interaction, where guests were not only observing but actively participating in the creative process. From painting on the canvas to engaging with the artists and capturing moments through video, the space became a reflection of the community that moved through it.
To top it off, the video recap for Miami Art Week was scored by Miami Beat Wave, a GRAMMY Recording Academy member and multi-charting music producer whose original beat added the perfect rhythm to the mural celebrations hosted by Verizon and Project Roadmap. The beat was also included in the 360 video booth for all to enjoy.
HIVE Wynwood 2025, produced by SWARM, brought together a strong lineup of sponsors including Verizon, Modelo, Tequila Mi Campo, Delta, Milan Cortina 2026, Simply Pop, Mr. Pibb, and Dialed Foods, creating one of the standout destinations during Miami Art Week.
