Verizon Baker St Atlanta Mural

Painted by Drew Borders, Roc Sol, Miss Lushy and Tiny Doors ATL

ATL: Home of Legends. Love, Verizon.

Created as part of Verizon’s Project Love Letter, the Baker Street mural celebrates Atlanta as a cultural powerhouse where music, film, art, and storytelling intersect. The composition brings together symbols of sound and cinema alongside two central characters, representing the creative energy that has shaped Atlanta’s global influence.

The male figure gestures “Peace Up, A-Town Down,” an iconic hand sign rooted in Atlanta’s music culture and a symbol of hometown pride. Opposite him, a female figure holds a camera, representing film, storytelling, and the city’s role as a creative stage for artists, filmmakers, and visionaries. Surrounding elements like the microphones, film reels, cameras, and music iconography honor Atlanta’s legacy as a place where voices are amplified and stories are brought to life.

The phrase “ATL: Home of Legends” speaks to both past and present—recognizing the artists, creatives, and communities that built Atlanta’s cultural foundation while inspiring the next generation to carry it forward. The mural reflects the city’s creative confidence, collaboration, and impact on the world.

The Baker Street mural was painted by Drew Borders, Roc Sol, Miss Lushy, and Tiny Doors ATL as part of Project Roadmap, an artist-led mural collective, on behalf of Verizon’s Project Love Letter initiative. Through this collaboration, artists were invited to interpret Atlanta’s neighborhoods as visual love letters—celebrating culture, creativity, and community through public art. Cat Eye Creative, founded by Adam Crawford, provided project management support, overseeing materials sourcing and logistics to help bring the artists’ collective vision to life.

As part of Verizon’s commitment to uplifting local voices ahead of the World Cup, the mural also invites community participation through an embedded QR code connecting residents to volunteer opportunities with Hands On Atlanta. More than a visual landmark, the mural serves as a reminder that honoring Atlanta’s cultural legacy while highlighting the creativity that continues to define the city today.
