Verizon WYNWOOD Mural: MIDTOWN MIAMI

The Project Roadmap mural team painted a bold storefront mural for Verizon's retail store in Wynwood, located at 3100 N Miami Ave in Midtown Miami, minutes away from Wynwood Walls and the Miami Design District. Lead muralist Roc Sol created a design that celebrates Miami city life, individuality, expression, and the fusion of art and lifestyle. The mural features a striking larger-than-life figure set against a colorful Miami-inspired landscape, capturing the confidence, style, and forward-thinking spirit that defines both the neighborhood and the culture around it. Artist Dee Perez assisted painting the mural alongside Roc Sol.
The Wynwood Midtown mural was the first installation to kick off Verizon's Project Love Letter initiative, a series dedicated to highlighting the identity and evolution of Miami's most iconic communities. The piece blends bold graphic elements with storytelling rooted in the city's creative pulse, reflecting the influence of street art, fashion, and technology. Positioned in the heart of one of the most visited art districts in the world, the mural stands as both a visual landmark and a celebration of Miami's global artistic impact.
As part of Verizon's Project Love Letter initiative during Art Basel 2024, the Wynwood Midtown mural was enhanced with an augmented reality experience powered by BrandXR through Snapchat's WebAR technology. When viewed through a smartphone, the mural's vibrant cityscape came alive with lights, moving vehicles, and dynamic animations, illustrating Verizon's role in connecting people and technology. The AR activation transformed the storefront into one of three interactive mural experiences launched simultaneously across Miami, positioning Verizon at the intersection of cutting-edge art, technology, and culture during one of the most attended art events in the world.
This storefront mural is a prime example of how brand activations through public art can transform a retail location into a cultural landmark. With its high visibility and strong visual identity, the Wynwood Midtown mural continues to inspire residents and visitors alike, reinforcing Verizon's commitment to investing in public art and uplifting local artists and creative voices. Inside the store, visitors can also find Roc Sol's artist bio framed on display, offering insight into the lead artist behind the mural and deepening the connection between the brand and the community it serves.
The video recap for the Verizon Wynwood mural was scored by Miami Beat Wave, a Grammy Recording Academy member and multi-charting music producer, whose original composition added the perfect layer to enhance the story behind the artwork.
