Otherblock: Supercharged L.A. was the first-ever Bored Ape Yacht Club community-led art, music, and food festival hosted in Los Angeles, California during NFT L.A. 2023 — the second chapter of the landmark collaboration between Miami's mural collective Project Roadmap and L.A.'s mural collective Space Dust. Created by Roc Sol, Swickie, Christine Olivera, and Peter Fang, Otherblock Supercharged brought together the BAYC community for a coast-to-coast cultural experience celebrating art, tech, food, drinks, and community at its most creative.

"Following our hit event at Ape Basel Miami, our Los Angeles immersive experience combines the physical, digital, and meta-arts to deliver a supercharged adventure," Swickie co-host from OtherBlock shared ahead of the event. "Featuring artists from coast to coast, we celebrate the vibrant culture of Web3 and L.A. through the lens of the BAYC community while curating multi-activation experiences."

At the heart of the event, Project Roadmap and Space Dust artists painted a large-scale community mural featuring Bored Ape Yacht Club members' NFTs brought to life through street art — a collaboration between Roc Sol, Swickie, Sera Star Girl, Rich Uno, and the Nasa Crew, with video documentation by Christine Olivera. The mural sponsors were members of the BAYC community themselves, making this a truly community-funded and community-celebrated work of public art.

The artist and creator lineup was stacked. Notable BAYC members and creators featured at the event included Myth Division, Sera Stargirl, Shilly, Bailey, Crypto Painter, Hawkward, and many more. "Extremely proud to welcome a stacked slate of traditional and digital artists to OtherBlock: Supercharged L.A.," co-lead Swickie said. "From glass to neon, generative art to sculpture, fiat to 3D animation we are incredibly honored to showcase BAYC members and friends of BAYC."

The event featured live music and dance performances by SpottieWiFi, Roc Sol, Rich Vagner, Zulu Gremlin & crew including Somar from Jordan, IllSun from Florida, Asia One from Summit, Soul Fire, and IZ plus DJ sets by Marcus DJ. The OtherBlock Live Podcast Experience brought an entirely new layer to the event, with Sean Nana and The Hustle House hosting a live community stream from inside the festival, interviewing artists and attendees in real time. OG ape and MC Beginbot of IRL Alpha kept the crowd locked in all night.

The food experience was equally legendary. Ape Taco Club served up tacos, Bitez brought gourmet L.A. bites led by Culinary Crypto of Bored Supper Club, and Kiki Cakes delivered a sweet collaboration between Swickie and Culinary Crypto. Drinks were handled by Cat and Tonic's Ape & Tonic beverage service featuring Spirit Punks, Ape Beverages, and Mutant Grape. Yuga Labs and Bored Ape Yacht Club were among the event sponsors, alongside ParaSpace, Tokenproof, and NFTBA.

Otherblock: Supercharged L.A. proved that what started in Miami's Wynwood could travel coast to coast — a community-built festival where artists, collectors, musicians, builders, and Bored Ape holders came together to create something truly unforgettable in Los Angeles, and cemented OtherBlock as one of the most beloved independent BAYC community event series ever produced.
