THE APE WALL OF FAME
The “Ape Wall of Fame” mural was located within the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami. It was a mural project that was curated by Miami artist and muralist Roc Sol in 2021 as a tribute to the Bored Ape Yacht Club community. He painted and designed the mural with his company Project Roadmap, where he curated an art team to assist with the web3 inspired mural project. The mural features both Bored and Mutant apes in Roc Sol’s signature patterned backgrounds behind the apes as a tribute to his original art blended with the ape community. The mural Production began on December 8th and took one month to complete, with the final details being completed on January 8th. The mural features 16 Bored Ape Members including Happy Dad, Collie Buddz, Post Verrone, JustMaiko, and multiple Miami Apes. When visiting the mural, pokemon enthusiasts will also be thrilled to learn it is a pokestop that users can enjoy while playing pokemon go.
The "Ape Wall of Fame" mural was celebrated in style at a special event curated by Roc Sol. The venue hosted a Bored Ape art gallery and Mural Celebration, where guests had the opportunity to experience the mural alongside food, music, breakdancing and art in a vibrant, engaging atmosphere. To make the evening even more memorable, attendees received a complimentary framed art print of the mural, personally signed by Roc Sol and the Project Roadmap team who contributed to its creation. The event was a true celebration of art, community, and creativity, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who attended. Other apes in the community have continued to celebrate the mural throughout the years at the venue, such as the mutant cartel during the MAYC 2 year celebration event hosted in Miami. Gordon and Garga, the founders of the bored ape yacht club, also acknowledged the mural on Episode 8 of “The Fucking Metaverse Podcast” during their interview with TimbalanD and Zayd Portillo.
