SAPPY SEALS ARF BASEL 2023 MURAL AND EVENT

During Art Basel 2023, Project Roadmap partnered with the Sappy Seals NFT community to produce a full art and music event experience in Miami — painting a large-scale mural at Stevo79 and hosting a community celebration that brought together collectors, artists, and Web3 enthusiasts from across the country.

The mural was painted live by Roc Sol, Swickie, Dee Perez, and Robin Hood — four artists from the Project Roadmap collective who brought the Sappy Seals world to life on the wall in real time as guests watched the piece come together throughout the night. The mural features the message "Autism is my super power!" — a powerful statement of inclusion, pride, and community that gave the piece a deeper meaning beyond the event itself.

Rather than a traditional step and repeat backdrop, Roc Sol hand-painted a large-scale custom canvas featuring all of the event's sponsor logos — turning a standard photo moment into a one-of-a-kind piece of original art that no other event could replicate. Guests also enjoyed a curated digital art display on screens throughout the venue showcasing the Sappy Seals community's artwork and memes, bringing the digital collection into the physical space in a way that resonated deeply with the community. And because no great Art Basel event is complete without a treat — Ben and Jerry's ice cream was served throughout the night.

The event was hosted by The Cabozos, KryptoBaby, Roc Sol, and Project Roadmap for the Sappy Seals and Milarfy community, with live music by Category 5 Music keeping the energy high all night. Future Force Crew brought breakdancing performances that stopped the crowd in their tracks, and Denx Sol provided live custom Sleek Labs card art as a unique keepsake experience for guests. Robin Hood also painted live throughout the event, adding another layer of creative energy to the night.
