The Degen Toonz mural was painted by Roc Sol and his Project Roadmap Mural team. The Degen Toonz Mural is a large-scale NFT-inspired artwork designed by Roc Sol located in the heart of Midtown Miami and Wynwood. This mural features four Degen Toonz characters brought to life on a bold red background with Roc Sol’s signature graffiti stained-glass patterns. The mural took one month to complete, revealed in May 2022 for the Degen Toonz community.

The Toonz that were featured on the wall were chosen by the Degen Toonz founders from a Twitter contest that received over 1,000 submissions from holders, making this mural a true community celebration. Adjacent to the Cool Cats mural and directly across from Verizon’s Wynwood mural, all painted by Roc Sol and Project Roadmap as well, this mural contributes to one of the most dynamic public art blocks next to Wynwood walls and Miami murals.

Unifying street art with technology, the mural includes a QR code that links directly to the Degen Toonz official website, inviting passersby into the digital world of the project. Painting began on April 13th, 2022, and was completed exactly one month later on May 13th, 2022.

To further honor the project, Roc Sol created a dedicated song that serves as an anthem for the Degen Toonz community titled “Toonz Anthem”, produced by Miami Beat Wave, a GRAMMY Recording Academy member and multi-charting music producer. Roc Sol hosted a Toonz Meet up at the mural site, making the mural a backdrop for the official Toonz Anthem music video, featuring dancers from Future Force Crew and members of the Degen Toonz community, bringing movement and energy to this unique NFT mural activation. The community even hosted an Art Basel event at Roc Sol’s Degen Toonz mural to celebrate it even further.
